WHEN
CAN I EXPECT MY CHILDREN TO RECEIVE THEIR SUPPORT?
Sometimes
the first contact with the non-custodial parent by our office
is enough to start compliance with the court order. On the
other hand, sometimes the non-custodial parent's residence
or assets are never located. We cannot guarantee adequate
and proper support but we are dedicated to doing the very
best job possible for your children. Mutual commitment to
the well-being of the children ensures maximum success.
If
the custodial party is not receiving financial assistance,
the payment will be processed at the State Disbursment
Unit (SDU) and mailed to him/her within two working days.
If
the custodial party is receiving public assistance and receives
a direct payment from the non-custodial parent, she/he is
required to forward the payment to our office for processing.
She/he must also report the sum received to his or her caseworker
at the Human Services Agency.
Payment
records can be viewed by accessing the CSE self service website,
www.childsup-connect.ca.gov.
A copy of the payment record is available to either parent
or custodial party at any time upon request. To request a
copy of the payment record, please call toll free at 1-866-901-3212.
